Frances Bloom is an artist and writer based in Prague. Known for her intentionally clumsy line strokes, Bloom’s visual art captures the impulsivity of being human. She uses oil pastels, coloured pencils, ink, and gouache.

Her poetry has been personally praised by the late Daniel Johnston and David Sedaris. Her 300 page volume of poetry, My Groans Pour Out Like Water, was written at the age of 25 in the wake of her husband’s death
